Project Hail Mary

This movie really teetered the line between feeling heartfelt and cheesy and I think I feel like it found the right balance.

Whereas The Martian felt like it was concerned with getting the approval of an academic audience, Project Hail Mary essentially forgoes all of that in favor of pseudoscience fiction and really spends the bulk of the time focusing on Rocky and Grace. And considering that I would die for Rocky I think it succeeded.
